teaching service where anyone can
get a private lesson from one of the
sport’s top riders, Paulo Prietto. It
won’t cost you an arm and a leg to
reserve a lesson either. |

Solag Skim School was created in 2004 to offer
skimboarding lessons to the general public in and
around the Laguna Beach area of California. The goal
of SSS is to teach ocean safe skimboarding skills to kids
and adults in a fun, encouraging atmosphere under the
supervision of skimboarding’s top professionals. Since
2004, SSS has become more attuned with how to
effectively teach skimboarding to people of all ages.
Founder and chief instructor, Paulo Prietto, started
skimboarding in 1989 and now competes in numerous
contests in the U.S. and Mexico at the professional level.
He was ranked as the top skimboarder in 2005 and 2006
and has always enjoyed teaching skimboarding. Paulo,
considered an ambassador of the sport because of his
contest achievements, media exposure, character, and
progressive skim talent is a well-qualified instructor. He
has refined his teaching over the years and is passion-
ate about spreading his knowledge of skimboarding.
Paulo graduated from Chapman University in 2006 with
a degree in Liberal Studies and Spanish Language em-
phasis. He is currently pursuing a teaching career while
working part time in a family real estate business. He is
committed to the growth and development of skimboard-
ing. He combines over 15 years of skimboarding ex-
perience with the teaching skills obtained in school to
offer a unique blend of instruction.
